Boy have they!
Toyota took a stab several years ago with the Venza, but after a poor start the company couldn’t overcome, it cut production of the uniquely shaped model just a few years later. However, Toyota’s no quitter and brought it back, this time as a hybrid.
Overview
What a difference a few years makes. The 2021 Toyota Venza Limited still retains some of the unique exterior shape of its predecessor, which looked a little like a smushed down teardrop camper — going backward. It’s actually a little reminiscent of the early to mid 2000s Chrysler Pacifica crossover. In short, it’s a nice looking vehicle on the outside.
The interior is comfortable and spacious although the overall look is not all that appealing. I seem to have this issue with Toyotas: I really like the interior or I really don’t. This is the latter, but more on that later. The hybrid powertrain is a great fit for a vehicle like this.
